In this month's entry, we have gone for a heritage trail around the area of Joo Chiat, Joo Chiat is known for its richness in culture and heritage, being the home of the Peranakans and Eurasian in Singapore in the past. However, we are excited and are expectant to discover new things about Singapore.

In our google maps gadget on the right of the blog provides the trail route that we have followed and constructed. Each location is marked with:

Purple Marker   - Places of Worship
Orange Marker  - Communal Spaces
Red Marker       - Medical Services
Blue Marker      - Eateries
Brown Marker   - Boutiques
Coral Marker     - Educational 
Grey Marker      - Shopping Centre
Green Marker    - Accommodation


Our routes will also be divided into 3 portions

1) Directions from Joo Chiat Complex to Joo Chiat Community Centre

(Walking down from Joo Chiat Road to Katong 112) 

2) Directions from Church Of The Holy Family to Pat's Schoolhouse - Katong

(Walking East of Katong 112 from East Coast Road to Stills Road)

3) Directions from Katong 112 to Eurasian Association

(Walking West of Katong 112 along East Coast Road till Ceylon Road and walk through Ceylon Road)
